Tynwald Lodge works under an approved Scottish Ritual.
In addition to Lodge meetings we believe in involving families and friends in activities that range from get-togethers after meetings to fundraising for worthwhile causes.

Tynwald Lodge has a fascinating history having been consecrated No 1177 under the Grand Lodge of Scotland in 1918. The founders of the Lodge, who had connections to the Isle of Man, proposed the name of the Lodge as Tynwald, after the legislature of the Isle of Man.
The Lodge was inaugurated in the Baptist Church, Sandgate in July 1918 and a banquet held in the School of Arts was attended by 50 brethren.
Freemasons are a diverse group of men from all walks of life, from many religions and many backgrounds. Becoming a Freemason is a commitment to develop your own potential, to values that see all humankind as equal, and to helping others in our community.
