Our Lodge was formed as Valley Ionic Lodge in 1893, meeting in the Forresters Hall in Fortitude Valley.
The name of our Lodge changed to Ionic Lodge in 1896 when we moved to CM building in Queen Street, Brisbane.
In 1927, the Lodge formed a daughter lodge named Progress Lodge working until UGLQ constitution.
In 1957, Ionic formed another daughter lodge called Prudence Lodge working the alternate ritual.
In 2003, Ionic and Prudence Lodge consolidated to become Ionic Prudence Lodge No. 77.
