Our history
In August, 1961, 13 members of the Masonic Order met at J.T. Lane's residence, Picnic Bay, to discuss the possibility of forming "The Magnetic Island Ashlar Club, consisting of members of the United Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of Queensland."
It took a dedicated team of volunteers and many thousands of hours of volunteer labour to complete the preparations and build the new Masonic Temple. Consecration of Magnetic Island's new Masonic Lodge took place in September 1968 and was attended by 205 Masonic Brethren.
